Wall Design System

Wall Design System helps civil, structural and geo technical engineers to design retaining walls. These consist of Gravity Walls as well as MSE Walls.

It is an iterative windows based program. A number of factors are involved in designing retaining walls. Many trials need to be run while creating a safe design. The process many times makes it necessary to recalculate and redesign the Wall at every change.This consumes human efforts and time as well.

To overcome these problems, the system has been developed to facilitate automated calculation process of theoretical design. Parameters of Design Criteria are used as input to the system to generate the pictoral view of the final design. All the automatically Computed safety factors are displayed and can be compared with the desired values of the safety factors

Once the results fall within the proper range to be a 'safe' design, all the computations like formulas used, soil parameters,various forces , site details and the pictoral view of the wall can be printed or exported as html.

Advantage of the Wall Design System:

	Wizard for data input.
	Unit of measurement (ie FPS or MKS) can be changed while designing the wall.
	The length of geo grid is calculated automatically.
	Various types of geo grids are selected according to the manufacturer.
	Wall block manufacturers and block types can be chosen according to the size.

Visual Basic 6.0, Visual C++(SDK) 6.0, Win32 API for Visual Basic 6.0, HTML, Seagate Crystal Reports 7.0 and MS-Access 2000.
